January is easy. February is the test.

Health trades get customers in bursts, and lose most of them before the burst is over. Customers tap the sign at the counter, their card sits in Apple or Google Wallet, and the eighth juice is on you.

First month free. Then £39 a month. No contract. Cancel anytime.

The New Year rush leaves as fast as it arrives

You cannot stop a resolution fading, but you can see it happening. A customer who came four times in January and once in the first half of February is on your list while the habit is still warm, not after it has gone.

A cold pressed juice is not a cheap giveaway

It is not, at menu price. It costs you what it costs you to make, which on eight stamps is a low single digit percentage of what that customer spent to earn it, and nothing at all on the visits that never happened.

Trade moves with the weather

Which is why a daily total tells you very little. The dashboard counts people rather than takings, so a cold week and a lost customer stop looking the same.

Anyone can fill a juice bar in the first week of January. TapReward tells you how many of them were still coming in March.

See the February drop while you can still do something about it.

Health trades run on intake and attrition rather than a steady week. The dashboard shows visits falling per customer, not just in aggregate, so the nudge goes to the person whose streak broke rather than to everyone who ever bought a smoothie.

How long does the first visit take?
About 15 seconds on their own phone - one email address, no account, no password. Every visit after is one tap.
Do customers need an app?
No. The card goes into the Wallet app already on their phone.
What do staff have to do?
Nothing during a visit. To redeem a reward, a four letter code on any phone or tablet signed in to your dashboard. About five seconds.
What if a tap does not work?
Serve the customer and sort the stamp out afterwards. They can tap on the way out, or you can add it from your dashboard. No queue waits on us.
What happens if I cancel?
Nothing gets deleted. Customers keep their cards and you keep your list.

17.5% more

  • A two year study of a retail rewards programme found customers spent 17.5% more per week in the four weeks after they redeemed a reward. The free juice is not where the scheme leaks. It is where the goodwill gets banked. Taylor & Neslin, Journal of Retailing, 2005
